After retiring he became a "financial consultant". In 2013 he was declared bankrupt.
He lost over £5 million worth of funds of the The Kingsway International Christian Centre, "investing" in
high-risk foreign exchange trades. In 2019 he was charged for false representation,
possession of criminal property, and carrying on a regulated activity when not an authorised
or exempt person. The London Evening Standard reported "The total amount of the alleged fraud
is believed to be £8,682,343.
