Steve Finnieston joined Chelsea as an apprentice, signing professional forms in December 1971.
By far and away his best season with the club was the 1976/77 campaign when he netted 24 goals
in 39 league games to fire the Blues back to the First Division. The following season was less successful
and Steve moved on to Sheffield United in June 1978 for a fee of £90,000. He is pictured above
during the 2-2 draw against Manchester United on 11/2/1978.
