Gordon McQueen moved to Leeds from Scottish side St. Mirren in September 1972. He spent five and a half years
at Elland Road, playing 140 league games, before becoming one of the few players to move across
the pennines to fierce rivals Manchester United, the Red Devils paying £495, 000 for the services of the
powerful centre-half. Gordon is pictured above during the 1-0 win against Ipswich Town.
