Alan Kennedy is pictured above during 1983 (not Jan 1st) . He moved on to Sunderland in
September 1985 after just over seven memorable seasons at Anfield. He played over fifty
league matches for Sunderland (the town where he was born) and then another ten clubs
before retiring in 1994. Kennedy became the first player to score winning goals in two
European Cup finals with goals in the 1981 and 1984 finals.
