Dariusz Kubicki is pictured above during the 0-0 draw against West Ham.
Dariusz Kubicki joined Sunderland initially on loan from Aston Villa in March 1994, with a £100,000 deal
struck to make the move permanent in the summer. The Pole made the right back spot his own over the
next few seasons and went on to play in 124 consecutive games for the Black Cats, falling just 1 short of
George Mullhall's post-war record. He moved on to Wolves in August 1997 on a free transfer having made
a total of 150 appearances in all competitions.
