Brendon Batson's career was cut short by a serious playing injury in 1982, following which he developed
into an administrator at the Professional Footballers' Association.
He was capped three times for the England B team.
He was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 2000 and Officer of the
Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2015 New Year Honours, both for services to football.
