A rare excursion for Eduardo De La Riva into a major tournament saw the Spaniard almost
lead his fellow Countrymen home. He may have managed that had he not taken two shots
to exit the bunker on the 11th. green (see pictures above) during his third round of 75.

In June 2012 Eduardo won the Fred Olsen Challenge de España by
one stroke from Simon Wakefield and in the same year at the Nelson Mandela
Championship lost a three way play off to Scott Jamieson (winner)
and Steve Webster.
