Luke is pictured with the PGA Trophy and saluting his
new status as World No 1 ranked golfer following his one
hole play-off with the then No 1 ranked World golfer Lee
Westwood. Both players tied on 278 but Lee's shot to the
green rolled into the water and Luke took advantage.
The 2011 European P.G.A. Championship field remarkably
featured all of the current Majors winners - all European

golfers.

Six weeks later he added the Scottish Open title
to his list of 2011 tournament wins. The weather in
Scotland was so wet that only three rounds were possible
and some players had to go south for the Open later that
week. Luke failed to make the cut at The Open!
