In 2013 Michael Thompson won his first ever P.G.A. Tour Event when he took the honours at the Honda Classic.
One off the lead after two rounds to, Luke Guthrie, he caught up during the third and then slowly pulled away
with a closing 69 in the fourth round, to win the event by two strokes.
The year before, at the U.S. Open, Michael Thompson shot a 66 in the opening round, which included
seven birdies and lead the Championship by three strokes. Two poor rounds of 75 and 74 saw him fall back,
but his final round of 67 actually saw him the leader in the club house, until winner Webb Simpson overtook
him by one stroke. Michael is pictured here at the 2013 British Open Golf Championship.
