If ever there was a shortlived career at the very
highest level of the game that was timed to
perfection it was that of Australia's Rob Egerton.
Rob won only nine caps for the Wallabies, all in a
13 week spell in 1991, with his final appearance
coming in the biggest game in the sport - the World
Cup final. He helped Australia to a 12-6 victory that
day against England at Twickenham, bringing to an
end a short - but very sweet - international career.
He is pictured above during the 38-3 win against
Wales in the group stages of the tournament.
