(The pictures above show Paul during
England's 15-6 defeat to South Africa
in the 2007 Rugby World Cup final. Sackey,
who came into the World Cup as a 4 cap
novice at international level, more than
played his part during the tournament
as England came so close to pulling off one
of sports great comebacks. After the 36-0
pummelling by the Boks in the group stage
their chances of reaching the final seemed
remote to say the least, but reach it they
did and this time South Africa knew they
were in a game. Paul enjoyed some notable
personal moments during the tournament,
not least his try against Tonga and his vital
tackle in the quarter-final which saved a

virtually certain Australian try.)
