Steven Bates played two matches for the All Blacks. The first against Italy on 13th November 2004
and a second against the Barbarians in London - when the picture above was taken,
he played the first 53 minutes.
Bates replaced Richie McCaw for the last 14 minutes of the win over Italy in Rome for
his only 'test' cap.
