Chris Rossouw had a remarkable start to his international
career when he was part of the South African team
which won the World Cup in what was just his fifth
appearance for the national side. Equally remarkably
was the fact that he then disappeared off the radar
completely in terms of international rugby, missing
46 games over a 4 year period, before returning
against New Zealand on 7th August 1999. He is
pictured above prior to his penultimate game for
South Africa - a 47-3 win against Spain at the
1999 World Cup.
