Fabrice is pictured above during the final of the men's Long Jump at the 2009
World Championships in Berlin. He finished just outside the medals in 4th place
with a leap of 8.21m. Three years earlier Lapierre had captured his first medal at
a major championship when winning bronze at the Commonwealth Games in Brisbane,
the results of which can also be seen below.
