The main photo above shows a delighted Jana Rawlinson shortly after crossing the line to win
the 400m Hurdles gold at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka. The sequence of race finish
pictures show the closing few metres of the final, with Jana (centre of photo) powering towards
the line ahead of Russia's Yuliya Pechonkina (2nd left) and Poland's Anna Jesien (far left),
who won silver and bronze respectively. It was the second time that Rawlinson had won gold
at the World Championships, having also enjoyed success in 2003. Rawlinson admitted she was
shocked by the victory. "I can't quite believe it, to be honest" she said. "Chris (her husband and
coach and a former world class hurdler himself), he had faith in me all along, but until you do it
on the day, you never know. To be on top of the world like this is something you can't repeat."
