Olympic Champion Sally Pearson had to settle for the silver medal at the 2013 World Championships
in Moscow, as the images above show. The main picture is of her in the semi finals and the inset picture
of the medalists crossing the line. She ran a season best of 12.50 seconds.

The montage above shows Sally winning the 100mh. The large image is her clearing the 7th hurdle
and the corner images of her at the end of that race. The side-on picture *shows her winning the
semi final - the first of her two record runs that day. * In the semi final Sally broke the Oceanian
area record & Australian record with a run of 12.36 secs.

In 2008 Sally Pearson was known as Sally McLellan.
The main photo above shows an ecstatic Sally McLellan celebrating after
winning silver in the final of the womens 100m Hurdles at the 2008
Olympic Games in Beijing. The race finish pictures above show the
closing stages of the final, with Sally (two from the right) edging out
Canada's Priscilla Lopes-Schliep (two from left) for the silver medal
despite both athletes clocking the identical time of 12.64 secs. In what
was an incredibly tight finish for places 2-6, Damu Cherry (third from
the left) finished in 4th place in a time of 12.65 sec, Delloreen
Ennis-London (four from right) 5th in the same time and Brigitte
Foster-Hylton (far left) was placed 6th in 12.66. Dawn Harper of the USA
(four from left) comfortably won the gold in a time of 12.54 secs,
although it could well have been a very different story had Lolo Jones
(lane 4) not clipped the penultimate hurdle when seemingly set to win
gold. |
