Tonique WILLIAMS-DARLING - Bahamas - Olympic Games & World Championships 400m Gold medalist.

Tonique is pictured above (69) during the final of the 400m at the 2003 World Championships in Edmonton.

She finished in a highly creditable 5th place with Ana Guevara (726), Lorraine Fenton (593) &

Amy Mbacke Thiam (885) taking the medals.

The top photo above shows the athletes in the home straight of the women's 400m final

at the 2005 World Championships in Helsinki. Tonique (27) is clearly trailing Sanya Richards (819)

by some distance but she produced a fine finishing burst to win the gold by just 19 hundredths of a second.
