The 2016 Rio Olympic steeplechase champion Ruth Jebet, still a teenager, crosses the
finish line in Paris to smash the women's 3,000 metres steeplechase record by over
six seconds in a time of 8:52.78 beating the previous record held by Russia's Gulnara Galkina
set at the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008 (8:58.81).
She is congratulated by "fellow Kenyan's" Hyvin KIYENG and Beatrice CHEPKOECH.
