In winning the heptathlon at the 2024 Olympic Games Nafissatou Thiam became the
first women in the history of the Games to win three Heptathlon Gold medals.
She is pictured abive during the long jump, the first event of the second day, after
which stage she was lying second to Katarina Johnson-Thompson by 45 points.
But following the javelin throw Thiam was in the lead by 121 points and held on
during the 800 metres.
