very slow time of 2:07.77 !
However, in her semi final she set a new Burundi National Record of 1:58.67
behind Mariya Savinova. Earlier in the year she won the African Championships, held in Benin,
with a time of 1:59.11 also a N.R. She was nineteen years old at the time.
