Wang JIANAN - China - 5th at 2023 World Championships.

Defending world champion Wang Jianan opened his defence with a modest

8.05 metres: but went no farther. The year before, in Oregan he managed

to clear 8.36m on his final attempt (the rest were all below 8 metres) but in

Budapest the spark was missing. His P.B. of 8.47m was set in 2018.
