The pictures above show Blanka during the final of the women's
High Jump at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. Vlasic, the gold
medallist at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka, missed out
on the gold on this occasion with Belgium's Tia Hellebaut taking
the honours on the countback rule. Both athletes had cleared 2.05m
and subsequently failed at 2.07m.
