The pictures above show Blanka during the final of the
women,s High Jump at the 2006 European Championships
in Gothenburg. She produced a fine performance, clearing
2.01m, but disappointingly missed out on the bronze medal
to Kajsa Bergqvist on the countback rule. It was the second
time that Vlasic had endured the heartbreak of missing out
on a medal in such manner, having suffered the same fate
at the 2002 Euros in Munich.
