The pictures above show Yargelis during the final of the womens Triple Jump
at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka. Savigne, the silver medalist
at the previous Worlds, this time went one better, striking gold with a seasons
best jump of 15.28m. A happy Yargelis later commented: "I am very satisfied.
This medal is a big surprise and very important for me and for Cuba.
I always believed that I could jump more than 15 metres."
