performance to win the gold medal with a new national record
throw of 67.07m. "I wanted to do it with the first throw, that's always my aim, "
said Spotakova. "And I did it. I shocked the others. It is a dream come true.
I want to be better every year. Next year at the Olympics I want to win.
" "It had been my goal to win here and set a national record right from
the start of this year. I was waiting for this day all year and now my
dream is fulfilled, although I cannot yet quite believe that I am the
World champion. I will need another day to realise what I have done."
