Jan Kudlička failed to share the gold medal with Robert Sobera because Jan failed
5.60 at his first attempt. They both failed 5.70 three times and then World Record holder
Renaud Lavillenie stepped up to "win" the title, having just sat and watched until then.
He failed all three attempts at 5.75 !!!
5.75 was the height Jan Kudlička cleared at the Rio Olympics the following
month to take 4th place in the final. See below
