The main photo above shows Roman competing in the Long Jump discipline at the
2004 Olympics in Athens. The Czech won the Gold ahead of American Bryan Clay,
thus improving on the silver medal that he had won in Sydney. Roman's tally of
8893 points was also a new Olympic record, beating Daley Thompson's previous
benchmark of 8847 set at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. The top left inset picture
shows Sebrle competing in the first event of the competition, the 100m, whilst the
photo below is the 1500m (the last discipline). The top right picture shows a happy
Roman celebrating his 16.36m Shot Put which was a new PB.
