Felix SANCHEZ - Dominican Republic - 2007 World Championships 400m Hurdles silver (result)

Felix is pictured above (490) clearing the penultimate hurdle during the final of the mens 400m Hurdles at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka. He won the silver medal in a seasons best time of 48.01 secs, with Kerron Clement of the USA (out of shot) taking gold and Poland's Marek Plawgo (left of picture) bronze. The other athletes in shot are James Carter (1091) who finished 4th and Periklís Iakovakis who placed 6th. Sanchez, who won gold medals at the 2001 & 2003 Worlds and the 2004 Olympics, commented after the race "I'm excited". "I feel the fire again. I gained the fire I lost after the Olympics."
