Angela Voight pictured during the final of the women's long jump at the 1976
Olympic Games in Montreal. In May of that year she set a new World Record
of 6.92m which was broken ten days later by Siegrun Siegl (4th in Montreal).
She competed for the sports club SC Magdeburg during her active career.
She retired in 1982.
On 11 April 2013, she died following a short, severe illness, she was 61 years old.
