Just months after breaking the world record for the 1500 metres Genzebe Dibaba completed
a double by taking the 1500m World Championship in Beijing. She is pictured above crossing the
finish line ahead of Faith Chepngetich Kipyegon and Sifan Hassan - the European 1500m champion.
It was on 17th. July 2015 in Monaco, that Genzebe broke the 1500m world record with a time of 3:50:07.
It was her first 'outside' gold medal - having won the World Indoor 1500m titles in 2012 and 2014.

Olympic Games, losing the gold medal to Faith Chepngetich Kipyegon.
