| The main photo above shows Haile Gebreselassie crossing the finishing line in
the 10000m at the 2004 Olympics in Athens. He finished in 5th place in
what was his farewell track appearance at a major championship. His
remarkable exploits in the 10000m had seen him win no less than 6
successive Golds at the majors between 1993 and 2000. The bottom right
inset picture shows a touching moment at the end of the race as Haile's
fellow Ethiopians Kenenisa Bekele (1657) and Sileshi Sihine - the Gold
& silver medal winners - give the great man a helping hand from the
