Christina Schwanitz the 2015 World shot put champion easily retained her European
title in Amsterdam with an opening throw of 20.17m and four other throws of over
19 metres. It was the best throw in Europe up to that time (EL).
Alas at the Rio Olympic Games she failed to pass 20 metres in the final
and finished in 6th. place.
