Having lost the 2012 Olympic gold medal to Tomasz Majewski with the last throw of the
competition Davis Storl suffered a similar fate at the 2015 World Championships where America's
Joseph Kovacs threw 21.93 in the fifth round to David's 21.74 fifth round put. Defending the
title he won in Moscow two years earlier David had to concede defeat to the U.S.A. National Champion
who in fact was the year's leading thrower with 22.35m.
