Kirsten BOLM - Germany - 2006 European Championships 100m Hurdles silver medal

The main photo above shows the race finish of the women's 100m Hurdles final

at the 2006 European Championships in Gothenburg. Kirsten (lane 5) won the

bronze medal behind home favourite Susanna Kallur (lane 4) and Ireland's

Derval O'Rourke (out of shot).

The other athletes in the picture are Glory Alozie (lane 3) and Adrianna Lamalle (lane 6)

who finished fourth and eighth respectively.

Kirsten is pictured above in full flow during the heats of the women's 100m Hurdles at the

2005 World Championships in Helsinki. In what was her first final at a major championship

she finished just outside the medals in fourth place, in a time of 12.82 secs.

Bolm's personal best was 12.59 seconds, achieved in July 2005 in the Crystal Palace Grand Prix

in London.

She graduated in psychology from the University of Heidelberg in 2009.
