The middle photo above shows Nadine celebrating after her 5th round
effort of 19.77m (a seasons best) had cemented her place in the bronze
medal position in the final of the womens Shot Put at the
2007 World Championships in Osaka. The left hand picture shows a
disappointed Kleinert after she had failed to challenge either Nadezhda Ostapchuk
or Valerie Vili with her 6th and final attempt. It was the first time that Nadine
had won a medal at a major championship in a colour other than silver,
having previously finished second at the 1999 & 2001 Words and the 2004 Olympics.
