Siggi WENTZ - Germany - World and Olympic Decathlon career.

Siegfried  Wentz  pictured above during the Pole Vault discipline of the Decathlon

at the 1987 World Championships in Rome. Wentz went one better by winning

the silver medal, thus breaking a run of three consecutive bronze medals at

major Championships.

at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles. Wentz won the bronze medal behind

Great Britain's Daley Thompson and his compatriot Jurgen Hingsen, replicating

the positions that the three finished at the previous years World Championships in Helsinki.
