He was the 4th fastest qualifier. The three athletes faster than him won the medals in the final.

He did not contest the final.          DNS it says on the official result.

Three weeks later in the Anniversary Games (Diamond League) held at London's Olympic Stadium

he won his semi final with a new personal best time: 13.19 seconds. 2016 European champion Dimitri Bascou (13.28s)

was second fastest.   But Andy again failed to contest the final.

In a career blighted by injury he was, in 2012, the fastest ever European 19-year-old over 110m hurdles.

In 2012 injury once more forced him out of the London Olympic Games, after being selected.

In 2017 he won the European Indoor 60m hurdles Championship.

In 2018 he then won the World Indoor 60m hurdles title.

In August 2020 Andy equaled his PB (13.14) at the Diamond league meet in Monaco.
