pictures above show Kelly during the Shot Put, Long Jump and 800m
disciplines of the womens Heptathlon at the 2007 World Championships in
Osaka. Sotherton produced an excellent personal best leap of 6.68m in
the Long Jump and she also recorded new PBs in the 100m Hurdles and the
200m on her way to winning the bronze medal with a seasons best total of
6510 points. Once again it was the Javelin that proved to be Kelly's
achilles heel, her throw of 31.90m garnering only 513 points, but
overall it was a terrific performance from the British girl, who was
also a bronze medallist at the 2004 Olympics. |
