The final of the 2014 European Championship in Zurich featured three Britons, but it was
Martyn Rooney who took the honours with the Gold medal in a time of 44.71 seconds -
just outside his personal best of 44.60 set in 2008 at the Beijing Olympic Games.
Runner up teenager Mathew Hudson-Smith ran a new P.B of 44.75.
Martyn's time was the fastest by a European sprinter up to then in 2014.
The empty lane was meant for Jonathan BORLÉE, who did not start.
