Zharnel Hughes crosses the finish line of the men's 4x100 metres relay
to win the bronze medal for G.B. & N.I.
Hughes, the 100m bronze medallist at the 2023 World Championships,
was unable to progress past the semi-finals in Paris. Indeed he did not
break 10 seconds in Paris, where 9.93 was the 'slowest' qualifier
for the final. He had a P.B. of 9.83 (2023) going into the Games.
