The inset pictures on the right show the closing stages of the mens 110m Hurdles final at the 2006 European Championships in Gothenburg. The fast finishing Turner (far side, lane 2) can be seen closing the gap on his rivals and he grabbed the bronze medal in a time of 13.52secs, just 2 hundredths of a second ahead of Russia's Igor Peremota (red vest, blue shorts). Latvia's Stanislav Olijar comfortably won the gold whilst Thomas Blaschek (lane 3) took the silver. It completed an impressive few months for Andrew who earlier in the year had also won bronze at the Commonwealth Games.
