Chijindu "CJ" Ujah pictured after the British team of James Dasaolu, Adam Gemili, James Ellington and himself
had just won their qualifying heat of the men's 4x100 metres relay at the 2016 European Championships in
Amsterdam.
Their time of 38.12 was the fastest in Europe and indeed they failed to better it when winning the final
following day (38.17 seconds). It was CJ's first medal as a senior athlete.
In 2013 he won the European Junior title in Rieti.
In 2014 he became the youngest British sprinter to break 10 seconds (9.96 +1.4w) for the 100 metres
and the fifth ever. He is below with the gold medal winning team on the Sunday.
Left to right they are: James-Dasaolu, Adam-Gemili, James-Ellington and Chijindu-Ujah.
