Christine Ohuruogu crosses the finish line a fraction of an inch ahead of Amantle Montsho to win the World
400 metres title. The race in Moscow produced not just another Gold Medal for Christine but a
British record of 49.41 for the 2008 Olympic champion (49.62). Amantle, who had a personal best of 49.33
set just the month before in Monaco, was the defending Champion.
Christine herself won the World title in Osaka. So the Moscow showdown was very much a race of Champions.
