Dina Asher-Smith is pictured above in her heat of the women's 200 metres at the 2015
World Championships in Beijing, which she won in 22.22 for a personal best - the fastest time
of the heats. She then repeated the feat in the semi finals winning her's with another PB of 22.12
and again the fastest of the day. The final would turn out to be an amazing race.
Dina yet again ran a PB - but her time of 22.07 was a new British record - beating Kathy Cook's 1984 record 22.10.
But she did not feature in the medals ! As the result below indicates most of the women saved their best
ever times for the final (well 4 of the 8).
1. Dafne Schippers Netherlands (NED) 21.63 CR, ER, WL
2. Elaine Thompson Jamaica (JAM) 21.66 PB
