Dina ASHER-SMITH - Great Britain & N.I. - Silver 4x100m & 4th in 200m 2017 World Championships.

Dina Asher-Smith saved her best time of the season for the final of the women's 200m final
but it was not quite enough to win a medal. She is pictured above crossing the finish line of the final.
In the circumstances it was a remarkable performance, because in February she broke her foot in
a training accident. She recorded 22.73 in her semi-final - also a S.B. - behind TA LOU (see below).

However, more was to come - in the Women's 4x100m relay. After qualifying for the final with
a season best of  41.93, behind the USA's 41.84 the same team repeated the position later
that day in the final (albeit running a little slower).

On Friday 8th June 2018 in Oslo, at the famous Bislett Games, Dina broke her UK 100 metres record of 10.99

(set in 2015 as a teenager) with a new improved time of 10.92 seconds. In Stockholm two days later she

then ran a winning 10.93 seconds just to underline her new found speed over the shorter sprint diatance.
