The race action pictures above show the closing stages of the women's
100m final at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. Jeanette (far left) -
who was the only European to make the final - finished in a highly
creditable 6th place in a new PB time of 11.14 secs. Shelly-Ann Fraser
(lane 4) scorched home to win gold in 10.78 secs, with Sherone Simpson
(far right) and Kerron Stewart (three from left) both being awarded
silver medals to make it a memorable clean sweep of the medals for
Jamaica. The left hand photo above shows Kwakye glancing up to the
scoreboard shortly after the 100m semi-finals.
