Jodie Williams crosses the finish line behind double champion Dafne Schippers to win the 200m
silver medal at the 2014 European Athletics Championships in Zurich. It was her second senior
championship medal of her young career. In July she also took the silver medal at the 2014
Commonwealth Games 200 metres.
Jodie had previously won many youth Gold medals : 2009 World youth golds 100 & 200 ; 2010 World junior 100m Gold;
and 2011 European junior 100 & 200 golds.
Her time in Switzerland a P.B. for her and took her to second place on the UK all time list
behind record holder Kathy Cook (22.10 Los Angeles Olympic Games 1984).

On the last day of the Championships in Zurich she won her first senior Gold medal,
in the women's 4 x 100m relay, where the British Quartet set a new UK record.
4 x 100 metres relay final Zurich 17th August 2014.
