Matthew is pictured above in lane 6 during the final of the men's 400 metres at the
2014 European Championships, alongside Conrad Williams in lane 5. The teenager took
the silver medal behind fellow Brit Martyn Rooney in a new personal best time. He also became
only the second British teenager to go under 45 seconds for the distance.
On the last day of the Championships, in Zurich, he won a Gold medal in the men's 4x400m relay -
