Mo Farah crosses the finish line ahead of fellow Britain Andy Vernon to win the European
10,000 metres title for the second time. His European record of 26:46.57, which he set in Eugene
in 2011, was not in trouble. However, was his first major track race of the season, after his debut in the
London marathon in April (2:08.21) where he finished a tired eight.
Below is a shot of him during the early stages of the race and with a rather beaming expression after
his victory. Further down the page are the details and images of his 5,000 triumph, four days later.
