He won the gold medal but was later disqualified under article 2.3 of the IOC anti-doping rules.
Four years later he finished 8th in Beijing but Two days before the 2012 Summer Olympics
Fazekas failed a drugs test. His B sample was also positive.
He was banned from athletics for eight years
